Mast, Tower Users in Nigeria Urged To Adhere To Usage Directive

According to Nigeria’s Daily Trust reports, local telecom operators, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and other operators that make use of masts, towers and base stations for service delivery have been urged to adhere to state directives regulating rx cialis low price the infrastructure. The report quotes Mr Joe Igbokwe, General Manager of the Urban Furniture Regulatory Unit (UFRU) as saying, “It has been more than a month since we made formal request to telecoms operators, banks and other builders of masts and base stations in Lagos to furnish us with the number of their structures in Lagos and addresses to enable us carry out integrity test on them and keep a database for record purposes.” According to Igbokwe, despite continued communication regarding the matter, the majority of telecoms operators in the state had not responded. UFRU has been established by the Lagos Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development to regulate activities of operators, specifically in the area of masts and tower installations writes The Daily Trust.
